The office building project site is located in the capital of Germany – East Berlin – on the banks of the Spree River.
The location of Technological Center in East Berlin was determined both by entrepreneurial environment in the German capital and the Development Strategy for Berlin 2030, where the eastern neighborhoods – Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg and Neukölln – become economic centers.
Considering the actual urban tissue, defined by a regular and rectangular texture, it becomes inevitable the enrollment within it.
The existence of a high office tower on the opposite bank creates a center of interest and a compositional axis, that comes in the prolongation of Bodickerstrasse. This axis will generate an urban plaza between the proposed volumes.
The transitions between proposed building and neighboring buildings, roads and water are achieved through green spaces.
